'Towards a Tobacco Free Generation : The School Challenge' in SDDNV
Date: 17July 2025. A notorious poster-making competition was organized in the middle school section of Shri Dadasaheb Dhanwatey Nagar Vidyalaya, Mahal, Nagpur run under Nagpur Shikshan Mandal. The poster making competition was organized to mark World No Tobacco Day on 31st May 2025, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education who calls upon all schools across the country to unleash their creativity and participate in a Nationwide School Challenge aimed at spreading awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use. The challenge involves four instruments /activities viz. Rally, Nukkad Natak, Poster /Slogan/Poem making competition. As part of this initiative, a maximum students of 7th and 8th class of SDDNV enthusiastically participated in the Poster making competition to promote the message: "Say No to Tobacco, Yes to Health". The competition was attended and guided by Principal Mrs. Madhuri Yawalkar and Supervisor Mrs. Sushma Panchbhai. They inspired the students to take the lead in spreading awareness in their neighborhood and surrounding areas about the harmful effects of tobacco use. The competition was systematically arranged with the cooperation and support of all the teachers.
नागपुर शिक्षण मंडल द्वारा संचालित श्री दादा साहेब धनवटे नगर विद्यालय ,महल नागपुर में दिनांक 17 जुलाई 2025 गुरुवार को विश्व तंबाकू निषेध दिवस के अवसर पर शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग,नई दिल्ली के मार्गदर्शन के अंतर्गत तंबाकू मुक्त पीढ़ी निर्माण करने हेतु विद्याथियों के लिए रचनात्मक गतिविधियों को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए पोस्टर मेकिंग प्रतिस्पर्धा का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें कक्षा 7वी और 8वी के कुल 200 से अधिक विद्यार्थियों ने अपनी कला का उत्कृष्ठ प्रदर्शन किया । इस अवसर पर विद्यालय की प्रचार्या श्रीमती माधुरी यावलकर एवं पर्यवेक्षिका श्रीमती सुषमा पंचभाई ने सभी विद्याथियों को तंबाकू सेवन के दुस्परिणाम एवं तंबाकू मुक्त जीवन जीने के लिए अपने परिसर में जागरूकता निर्माण करने की प्रेरणा दी। कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने हेतू सभी शिक्षकों ने अथक प्रयास किए।
